Job Title: Finance Assistant
Location: Melton Mowbray.
Salary: up to £30,000 salary for the right candidate
Hours: 9:00 Am To 5:00 Pm Monday To Friday (37.5 hours per week)
This is a 12 month maternity cover role for a Financial assistant to support all financial operations within. The role will support a number of key areas including purchase ledger, sales ledger, cash flow forecasting and monthly management reporting.
MAIN RESPONSIBLITIES
• Purchase invoices, and reconciling supplier statements.
• Ensuring purchase invoices are coded to the correct nominal, department code and correct VAT treatment
• Weekly bank reconciliation on Sage and daily cash reconciliations
• Entering customer receipts on to Sage and following up on under payments
• Issuing monthly customer statements
• Assist in cash flow forecasting
• Assisting with month end payroll, including checking clocking in reports and maintaining payroll analysis
• Assisting with month end journals and month end reporting
• Collaborate closely with the wider Finance Team as well as non finance departments to ensure smooth and accurate financial operations.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Ø Minimum of 2 years financial experience in a similar role.
Ø Proficiency in financial software, including Sage 50
Ø Excellent Microsoft Excel
Ø Good time management
Ø Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business.
QUALIFICATIONS
AAT Certificate or Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping would be favourable
