An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, appropriate experienced and qualified nurse to join the Pre-operative assessment team in Forth Valley Royal Hospital. The pre-operative department is responsible for the complete assessment of patients undergoing elective surgery.
We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic caring and hardworking registered nurse to join our skilled and friendly team. Our patients will present with a varied medical background and may often require optimisation of these conditions prior to surgery, for this reason you must have excellent assessment, decision making and communication skills, and demonstrate the knowledge and ability to refer to appropriate clinical areas.
Relevant surgical experience would be beneficial to the successful candidate.
ACE qualification is essential, however an annex 21 would be considered to allow course to be completed, non-medical prescribing is desirable, but not essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a nurse led clinic and for this you will require excellent organisation skills.
You must show an appetite for lifelong learning and focus on continuous quality improvement to ensure patient safety, be keen to participate and contribute to the continuous development of the service.
The successful candidate will provide management support to the Senior charge nurse, in the delivery of the day to day management of the clinic as well as the delivery of the needs of the service and organisation.
