Job description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design complex engineering processes within the water and wastewater industry.
2. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop solutions that adhere to stringent design codes.
3. Lead mechanically biased projects, coordinating efforts across various disciplines.
4. Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures to minimize impact and prevent recurrence.
5. Contribute technical expertise to project definition briefs.
6. Offer mechanical insights during asset surveys, plant condition assessments, feasibility studies, optioneering, whole life costing, and preliminary designs.
7. Provide technical sign-off and assurance throughout the project lifecycle
8. Ensure compliance with engineering-based regulatory requirements.
9. Support the testing and development of new technologies for research project implementation.
10. Develop innovative tools to enhance the Engineering team's capabilities.
11. Aid in establishing a 'Centre of Excellence' for engineering.
12. Foster a cohesive, sustainable engineering structure from graduate level to industry experts.
Qualifications:
13. Chartered Mechanical Engineer status.
14. Significant experience in water/wastewater treatment design.
15. Proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams.
16. Strong analytical skills for equipment failure investigations.
17. Experience in developing engineering tools and technologies.
