Job Summary
Main responsibilities will be for the design of control solutions associated to the gas, hydraulic and process systems including other manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
* Create electrical schematics that show how electrical components and panels work together to accomplish a process.
* Produce layout drawings of the given plan, components and devices.
* Component specification and verification in accordance with operating environment.
* Produce and modify bill of materials.
* Support project specific Safety documentation to relevant standard requirements; IEC61508, EN ISO 13849.
* Produce system Electrical FDS.
* Create necessary system calculations – Power requirements, IS circuit calculations etc.
* Assist with technical files and data books including ATEX/IECEx technical files and customer specific quality documentation.
Basic Qualifications
* Minimum HND/Degree in electrical engineering or relevant experience in this field.
* Knowledge of Electrical Engineering & Standards is essential.
* Must have a strong understanding of the electrical software engineering principles.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
The Electrical Design Engineer position is a full-time permanent role but will experience a moderate amount of travel and activity in the workplace, such as supervising the installation of their Design and systems.
Additional Skills
* Draw and interpret Flow diagrams (Visio etc).
* Good communication and interpersonal skills as the role will involve interaction with multidiscipline teams.
* Have good foresight and strong analytical thinking skills that allow you to troubleshoot and avoid problems.
* Be computer literate and able to use a wide range of software packages.
* Detail oriented and logical thinker who enjoys working with different systems in combination with computers.
* Fault finding and familiarity with general commissioning activities are advantageous to this role.
