We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established residential children’s home in Burton upon Trent, supporting young people with additional needs to thrive in a nurturing, supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide compassionate day-to-day care and support to children with learning disabilities Assist with personal care tasks including hygiene, dressing, and feeding Encourage participation in educational and recreational activities both at home and in the community Support the emotional development of children through positive relationships and consistent care Help implement and follow individual care plans Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure holistic support Monitor and record behaviours, progress, and care needs Maintain a safe and nurturing environment at all times Manage challenging behaviours using positive behaviour support techniques Take part in ongoing training and team development sessions What We’re Looking For: Experience working with children, ideally with learning disabilities or additional needs (preferred but not essential) Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) is an advantage Empathetic, calm, and patient approach Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in duties Full UK driving licence (essential) – must include business insurance What’s On Offer: Competitive salary up to £26,150 Full induction and ongoing training Opportunities for progression and additional qualifications Supportive, inclusive working environment Access to employee well-being initiatives Apply Now: If you’re passionate about supporting children and want a rewarding career where you can make a difference every day, apply with your CV and a member of the Key Health team will be in touch
