VETTING OFFICER Location: Milton Keynes (travel involved) Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year Flexible Working: We welcome applications from those seeking flexible hours Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum (subject to experience) Apprenticeships: Development opportunities are available through Apprenticeship standards Reporting To: Contracts Manager – Prison Services IN SHORT Milton Keynes College are looking for a proactive and efficient Vetting Officer to offer high quality administrative support with our security clearance processes. We are looking for customer service orientated and motivated individuals to support with effective administration processes and demands. You will support both candidates, existing employees, and area managers by delivering an effective and compliant vetting service. As a Vetting Officer, you will be responsible for a range of tasks using internal software and Microsoft Office 365 applications as well as external cloud applications to process identity and background checks for new and existing employees. Full training on processes and systems will be provided. It’s important that you can work efficiently, offer a high level of customer service and be willing and able to offer general administrative support to meet expectations. With the support of your colleagues, you will play a key role at the College and help to ensure a smooth, highly efficient operation assisting with our compliance responsibilities. You will be required to work from our sites in Milton Keynes 1-2 days per week. A driving licence is essential as you will be required to travel to our prison locations throughout England to complete vetting appointments (mileage and expenses will be paid for work related travel).
