We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and adaptable dental nurse to join our friendly team. Responsibilities will include assisting the dental clinician during routine clinical sessions, general anaesthetic sessions, orthodontics, school screening, dental surveys and domiciliary dental care. Staff are supported and encouraged to participate in clinical audit, CPD and in-house training days.
The successful candidate will follow a set Trust and Departmental Induction plan and will be well supported during a 6 month probationary period.

• National Certificate of the Examination Board for Dental Nurse or Certificate of Proficiency recognized by the Association of Dental Hospitals of Great Britain and Northern Ireland or a qualification approved by the Secretary of State as being equivalent to one of the above
• Current registration with the General Dental Council
• The ability to meet the transport requirements of this post to travel independently between sites

To provide administrative, routine chairside and general anaesthetic assistance for dental clinicians.
To be responsible (under the supervision of the dentist) for preparing premises and equipment for treatment and screening sessions and domiciliary care.
To provide clinical support for the dentist during screening survey and clinical sessions, including some general anaesthetic lists, support for the community orthodontic specialist and domiciliary dental care.
To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries.
