An exciting opportunity has arisen at Withybush General Hospital for Pharmacists with drive and ability to become part of the dynamic Pharmacy Team as part of the pharmacist bank. As bank pharmacists, you will work in a supportive environment within areas of expertise/competence with the chance to build on your foundation skills and develop your expertise.
We are committed to developing and training our staff, and you will join our dynamic clinical pharmacy team providing pharmaceutical care to a number of areas. This includes general medicine, general and orthopaedic surgery, cardiology, and admissions.
Withybush General Hospital is a busy district general hospital with approximately 250 beds. It provides a range of medical and surgical specialities including coronary care, acute stroke, trauma and orthopaedics, frailty, critical care, and the emergency department. The clinical pharmacy service is well established and provides high-quality care across all specialities.
Main duties of the job
You will be joining a team of experienced Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, and you will be expected to work as part of the multidisciplinary team to deliver a patient-focused clinical pharmacy service in all areas.
You will be working as a key member of the pharmacy team providing a clinical service to a number of areas depending on experience and expertise.
You will have the opportunity to develop your practice in a wide range of clinical areas in a small and friendly general hospital.
You will be expected to undertake the role of responsible pharmacist when working as part of the dispensary team.
