for a Senior Threat Detection Engineer who expects more from their career. It’s a chance to extend and improve dunnhumby’s Information Security team. It’s an opportunity to work with a market-leading business to explore new opportunities for us and influence global retailers.
Joining our team, you’ll work with world class and passionate people to… be responsible for identifying potential security gaps and making continuous improvements in our organization's security controls. Your role is crucial in ensuring the effectiveness of our security measures and protecting our systems and data from potential threats.
What you’ll be working on
1. Maintain up to date knowledge of the Cyber Security threat landscape, its associated Threat Intelligence, emerging threats, and attack techniques.
2. Identifying methods by which to detect specific attacks and threats identified in the wild
3. Conduct periodic validation testing to validate the effectiveness or identify security gaps and vulnerabilities in the organization's security controls.
4. Analyse the results of testing and simulation exercises to identify trends and patterns and provide recommendations for improvement.
5. Work with other members of the security team to implement recommended improvements to the organization's security controls.
6. Develop and maintain testing and simulation frameworks to ensure the continued effectiveness of the organization's security controls.
7. Conduct security investigations and threat hunting activities to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
What we expect from you
8. Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
9. Experience developing detections as code.
10. Strong knowledge of security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, proxy, email security, and firewalls.
11. Experience with security incident response and management.
