Maternity Support Worker for Screening and Ultrasound- Andover
We are looking for an experienced healthcare worker to join our small team at Andover, working alongside a multidisciplinary team of sonographers, midwives and maternity support workers. You must be competent in phlebotomy and able to work collaboratively as a team.
• Setting up scan and clinic room prior to clinic, maintaining stock levels, contributing to ordering as required
• Ensure environment is clean, tidy and safe following any procedure.
• Assisting consultant during Fetal medicine scans and procedures. Early assessment, Growth and fetal wellbeing and anomaly scans) following the relevant training.
• Check patients into clinic and performing BP Urinalysis and CO monitoring. Documenting correctly into Badgernet
• Phlebotomy as necessary including 1stTrimester screening bloods, pre op and Glucose Tolerance Test list. Documenting correctly into Badgernet
• Ensure the environment is clean, tidy and safe for visitors and staff. Process requisitions for repairs/maintenance as necessary.
• Contribute to maintaining stock levels and assist in ordering if required.
• Clean and prepare equipment and facilities as appropriate, ensuring the safe handling and disposal of highly contaminate (bodily fluids) linen and waste.
• Be aware of manual handling, fire, accident and emergency bleep procedures.
• Participate in self-development to enhance the quality of the service and make a positive effort to keep informed of Trust matters by reading notices and attending mandatory study days, skills sessions and drills as they occur.
