About This Role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled individual to join our primary school team in Hailsham, East Sussex. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to pupils with various learning, behavioural, or physical needs, working closely with teachers and other education professionals to create inclusive and engaging learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* To provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with diverse special educational needs.
* To work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement effective learning plans.
* To maintain accurate records and progress reports for each pupil.
* To contribute to creating a safe and supportive classroom environment that promotes social interaction and emotional well-being.
Requirements:
* Relevant qualifications or experience in supporting students with special educational needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
* Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
* Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
This is a full-time position, 37 hours per week, with a salary range of £25,000 to £32,000 per annum, dependent on your experience.
