Position Description A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Project Engineer to join our well established department, reporting directly to the department manager. Our focus is on AHU upgrade/refurbs from both our 40 years of AHU installed base and 3rd party manufacturers together with a thriving spares market. These projects varies between simple single fan upgrades to major hospital projects involving dozens of units. This is a rapidly growing market, significantly driven by escalating energy/maintenance costs and government legislation. The role is technically orientated requiring a good understanding of AHU construction and component selection such as fans, coils, DX plant and their applications. Key Responsibilities Customer contact from receipt of enquiry Corelation of site specific data both from internal archive and via site survey defining project scope. Generation of Quote and/or proposal for works Pre order customer support, both technical and feasibility/justification documentation. Customer communication & order handling ensuring Airedale policies are maintained. Project specific communication with internal departments, suppliers and customer regarding deadlines. AHU Design changes and component selection checks Financial cost control of these projects regarding suppliers/sub contract orders. Point of contact for internal work flow/production, booking site personnel/activity associated with install works. Required Education & Qualifications Mechanical knowledge of air handling and air conditioning equipment beneficial Working knowledge of MS Word & Excel, Computer and report writing skills essential Proactive attitude to working autonomously using own initiative & within a team as required. Previous industry experience will be of benefit, additional training can be provided Good communication and organisational skills Accurate digital storage and recording keeping of project related communication, design and approval data.
