The project engineer role is required to provide and/or perform the following:
1. Liaise internally and externally with departments, customers, and suppliers to facilitate effective communication and ensure deadlines are met (remote via video conference and local in person).
2. Travel to other H+S locations or customer/supplier locations globally as required to attend project and design meetings.
3. Provide support to the quotation process by creating BoMs and labour estimations, feasibility reports, and tooling reviews.
4. Provide support to the BoM process, estimating components, pricing, labour, and processes to provide the required information.
5. Design and develop new products and assemblies to meet the requirements of the project, and manage all documents and processes associated with the project.
6. Create 2D design drawings and documents using CAD.
7. Create 3D design models and documents using CAD.
8. Produce prototype products and assemblies, liaising with relevant internal and external departments to meet performance requirements and deadlines.
9. Support the engineering department as needed in any required activity to flex with the demands of the business.
Essential Requirements
1. Excellent communication skills and ability to form relationships with multicultural colleagues (must have excellent written and spoken English skills).
2. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage own time and priorities.
3. Project management experience is an advantage.
4. Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in an engineering role within a relevant industry.
5. Good knowledge and working experience of cable assembly, wire harnessing, electro-mechanical assembly is a must.
6. Computer literate with good fundamental knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 workspace.
7. CAD knowledge and experience 2D/3D (Solid Edge/Solid Works/AutoCAD/Harnware/Catia).
