We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Projects Control Engineer to work on a power transmission project in Peterhead for a period of six months on behalf of one of our valued clients. Our client is eager to speak with candidates who are highly proficient in project management, planning, scheduling, and coordination, and who possess a strong understanding of the commercial aspects of the project.
Requirements
Education: Degree or HNC level in a relevant civil engineering discipline.
Experience: Proven track record in civil engineering projects.
Expertise: Previous experience as a Project Manager, Project Controller, or Planner on high-value projects within a main contracting business.
Contractual Knowledge: Familiarity with NEC3 or NEC4 contracts is preferred.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret financial and scheduling data to support decision-making.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with stakeholders at all levels.
Project Experience: Experience working on long-term infrastructure projects and managing the integration of cost and planning functions.
Project Management: In-depth knowledge of project management concepts, such as Earned Value Management, planning, and programming.
Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence required.
What We Offer
Start Date: Immediate start for a six-month period.
Work Arrangement: Office-based role, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
