The company have now created a rare and desirable opportunity for an experienced Engineering Service Manager, to join them on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be spearheading all engineering support for their UK clients, including machinery installations, servicing, commissioning, technical support and emergency breakdown repairs. This role would suit an experienced manager who has led teams of engineers/technicians, and would describe themselves as 'hands on' and 'supportive'. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Taking full ownership for managing the UK Service Department, including a team of field-based engineers and office-based support. Responsible for all general management of the team, including training, recruitment, performance management etc. Maintaining regular contact with your team and customers, offering guidance and support as required and taking responsibility for all escalated technical customer support issues. Managing customer complaints to a win-win result. Ensuring that service engineers provide a world-class customer experience which not only includes their on-site performance, but all administrative work and process. Working with the leadership team to further develop company processes and procedures, with a mentality of continuous improvement and excellent customer experience. Key Skills and Experience Required: Previous experience of managing a UK Technical Service/Engineering Team. Excellent communication skills, able to build strong professional relationships at all levels. Engineering qualification (or equivalent) in electrical/mechanical engineering. Proven management and leadership skills. Happy to travel across the UK or Republic of Ireland to meet with customers as required. Also able to provide telephone support as needed. Good general IT skills (MS Office etc) UK driving license (company car provided). UK passport for occasional overseas business travel.
