The job role will involve travel on a regular basis to SNI Medical Centres and HQ Lichfield, therefore, a driving licence is desirable but not essential as there are other means of travel that can be taken. Job description We are looking to appoint a talented leader who will have a key role in coordinating and managing the quality assurance systems and leading 2nd party assurance, as part of governance and assurance structure in DPHC. As a member of DPHC RHQ SNI team, the position holder will support the medical, rehabilitation, mental health, and occupational health teams to deliver care to military and entitled personnel. This is an excellent opportunity for you to develop and implement plans on a cross system basis. You will provide expertise and understanding of various components of clinical quality (safe, effective, responsive, well led, and patient centred care). A key focus of the role will be to ensure diligent management of assurance systems and ensure effective relationships with service clinical leads across the geographical area of responsibility. Person specification The duties and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to: Acting as the Assurance Team Lead on the 2nd party assurance of DPHC facilities within the AOR, including the timely completion of the assurance report and recommendations. Co-ordinating and leading the delivery of Internal Assurance Reviews/ inspections Supporting facilities to improve governance and assurance activities during and after external governance inspections, and the management and analysis of assurance systems to monitor the quality of healthcare. Providing professional support to the healthcare teams and contribute to the education, training, and development of all staff within the geographically defined area, undertaking and contributing to practice, service development, research and evaluation. Qualifications Degree in healthcare plus additional specialist training or experience to Masters level or equivalent Memberships The post holder must hold a professional registration, either: General Medical Council (GMC), Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or Health Care Professional Council (HCPC).
