Job description ensure that PHSO data and systems are protected using the most secure technologies available - ensure you fully keep up with new threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits as they emerge coordinate with relevant stakeholders to develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures maintain the security of all applications, networks, and systems that interact with the outside world - this involves ensuring that all third-party service providers are monitored and adhere in accordance with the organisations security standards engage as an ambassador with external cyber security and information security networks (NCSC NWARP, ICO, Police etc). Person specification strong knowledge of IT security principles and best practices knowledge, experience and expertise in assessing new technologies, concepts, ideas and/or suppliers to ensure security and legislative compliance understanding of how new and emergent technologies impact data protection and information security knowledge and experience of information security, data protection and information rights legislation applied within a public authority. knowledge of a wide range of technologies including Azure, M365, MS Purview, MS Security suite, Sentinel, and Operating Systems.
