Role Purpose: The Head of Procurement will oversee the implementation of procurement strategies and policies, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory standards. This role involves steering key procurement functions, with a particular focus on driving category leadership in the Packaging sector, contributing to the overall vision of enhanced cost efficiency, sustainability, and supplier innovation. Key Responsibilities: Policy and Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and regulatory standards. Stakeholder Management: Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand and meet procurement requirements, especially in project change management. Performance Management: Track and report on procurement performance, implementing improvements as needed. Risk Management: Mitigate procurement risks using supplier evaluation tools. Source-to-Pay (S2P) Process Leadership: Oversee all steps in the S2P process, from strategy through to execution, ensuring alignment and continuous improvement. Sourcing Guideline Ownership: Develop, implement, and uphold sourcing guidelines to promote transparency, fairness, and value. Operational Procurement: Lead the day-to-day procurement operations, including purchase orders, supplier management, contract oversight, and invoice handling. Productivity Governance: Set and track efficiency goals, working alongside the Global Head of Productivity to enhance operational productivity. Procurement Tools and Systems Management: Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of procurement tools and systems, ensuring their effective use, data security, and regulatory compliance. Sustainability Initiatives: Serve as the key contact for sustainable procurement practices, providing guidance on best practices and processes. Transformation Leadership: Drive regional procurement transformation projects to support the business’s strategic goals. Required Skills and Experience: Proven experience in procurement with demonstrated success in managing categories at a regional or global level. Strong ability to navigate ambiguity in a complex, multicultural environment. Excellent cross-functional collaboration and leadership skills. Analytical and strategic thinker with hands-on operational capabilities. Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Availability to work on-site 3 days a week and travel as required to suppliers and manufacturing sites. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree or equivalent experience. Proficiency in a second language. Prior experience in a matrix procurement environment.
