The Financial Institutions Group (FIG) at DBS Bank London Branch is responsible for providing holistic coverage of our UK / European Institutional Investor, Insurance and Bank clients.
The business unit provides our FIG customers with full access to DBS’ Asia focused Global Financial Markets products as well as expertise in Global Transaction Services (cash management and trade finance) and lending products.
Position Overview: We are looking to hire a Relationship Manager at Vice President level to play a crucial role in driving business development and managing relationships with our Institutional Investor clients, including Asset Managers, Securities, Exchanges and Official Institutions.
You will leverage your expertise to understand client needs, identify growth opportunities, and deliver tailored solutions that align with our strategic goals.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the Relationship Management and related coverage activity including the development of new and pre-existing relationships and the origination of new-to-bank clients.
The role will also entail the completion of credit analysis and the support of junior colleagues in the completion of deal related analytical work surrounding both new and existing transactions.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain strong relationships with Institutional Investor clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target segments, leveraging your network and industry knowledge.
Collaborate with internal teams to create customised solutions that meet client needs and drive revenue growth.
Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and client requirements.
Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, showcasing our products and services and demonstrating value proposition.
Maintain a positive risk and control framework, providing ongoing client oversight and addressing any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and promote our brand.
Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development and relationship management roles within the financial services industry (ideally within the Financial Institutions Sector).
Proven track record of successfully managing relationships with Institutional Investors, including Asset Managers, Securities Houses, Exchanges and Official Institutions.
Strong understanding of financial products, market dynamics, and client needs in the Institutional Investor space.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to achieve targets and drive business growth.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certification is a plus.
