Surveyor (Repairs and Mould & Damp Location: Lewisham Council Salary: £50,646.00 - £52,674.00 Date: closes for submission on 7th Feb Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Lewisham Council is seeking up to seven experienced and highly motivated Surveyors (Repairs and Mould & Damp) to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in maintaining and improving housing conditions for residents across the borough. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive property inspections to identify and assess repair needs, including: Structural issues - cracks, subsidence, dampness Plumbing and electrical problems - leaks, faulty wiring Roofing defects - leaks, missing tiles Mould and damp - identifying sources and assessing severity Prepare detailed and accurate survey reports, including photographs and supporting documentation. Provide expert advice and recommendations for repairs and remedial works. Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure efficient project delivery. Ensure adherence to relevant building regulations and industry best practices. Requirements: Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) Qualification HNC (Higher National Certificate) in a relevant field Proven experience in property inspections and building maintenance. Strong knowledge of building regulations and industry standards. Excellent report writing and communication skills. Valid UK Driving Licence.
