As Junior IT Support Technician, you'll be the go-to for first-line IT support, helping resolve technical issues and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. You'll work closely with our IT team to make sure our nurseries and offices have the tools they need to thrive.
What You'll Do
- Respond quickly to IT support tickets using phone, email, and remote tools.
- Troubleshoot IT issues, including resetting passwords, fixing connectivity problems, and supporting software users.
- Set up and maintain IT equipment like laptops, printers, and other devices.
- Help manage hardware setups to ensure everything is ready with the right software and configurations.
- Keep accurate records of support requests and solutions.
- Learn and apply IT policies, including data protection and confidentiality.
- Assist with IT projects and contribute to process improvements.
Success in this role means resolving tickets quickly and effectively while maintaining clear and detailed records. You'll build positive relationships by providing professional, helpful support and grow your technical knowledge and confidence as you tackle common IT issues. By contributing to team initiatives and collaborating effectively, you'll help improve processes and ensure our systems run smoothly.
What You'll Bring
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
- Great problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
- Clear communication, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
- A team-focused, proactive attitude with strong attention to detail.
- Ideally, 1+ years of experience in IT support or a completed IT apprenticeship.
