Role: Robotic Commissioning Engineer

Travel:
Can be up to 50% of the time per month and if a site visit is more than 90 mins away then accommodation will be provided.

You will most likely be based on the Nottingham site, but they also have a site in Telford
Experience Required:
1. Strong understanding of robotic programming using STL, both offline and online
2. Use and understanding of ABB RobotStudio AND/OR Kawasaki K-ROSET AND/OR Fanuc RoboGuide
3. Understanding of HMI (Teach Pendant) screen development
4. Onsite commissioning experience of industrial automation, including:
5. Conveyor control
6. Machine interfaces and machine sequential logic
7. Safety controllers
8. Drive configuration and motor control
9. Strong understanding of Profinet and Ethernet industrial communications systems
10. Ability to work away within the UK on sites as part of a controls team under the direction of the control systems project management
11. Excellent communication skills with technical analysis and feedback required in daily reports
Job Description:
12. Manage individual projects (on-site) at an engineering/commissioning level in line with client requirements, with support from the assigned project manager and head of robotics.
13. Manage individual projects (on-site) at a client level, ensuring lead times and standards are met.
14. Assist in developing and working from technical documents to meet industry standards, using technical features, diagrams, and language.
15. Assist in developing and working from bespoke software routines and functions to ensure machine/system functionality in a safe and controlled manner.
16. Contribute to the further development and testing of software standards across various Robot OEMs.
17. Develop safety software for systems utilizing safety controllers, ensuring compliance with BS-EN13849 & ISO-10218-2, with controlled and supervised modifications.
18. Provide FAT/SAT code modifications for review to ensure software meets library standards before shipping.
19. Ensure all bespoke software is thoroughly tested before system shipping and commissioning.
20. Commission bespoke systems both in-house and on-site within the UK and occasionally overseas, adhering to all relevant standards.
21. Work away on-site when required, with an estimated split of 50% onsite and 50% office-based over a 12-month period.
22. Travel door-to-door exceeding 1.5 hours may require overnight stays.
23. Accommodation costs for overnight stays will be covered directly by the employer.
24. Participate in company training to enhance skills.
25. Provide second-line support to the service department, diagnosing and resolving issues, traveling to site on short notice, or supporting engineers remotely as required.
26. Carry out reasonable professional requests from management as needed.
27. Work as part of a team both in the workshop and onsite, assisting colleagues to ensure project success.
28. Treat all employees with respect and ensure an inclusive workplace.
29. Adhere to health and safety policies both within the workshop and on-site.
30. Maintain professional and polite interaction with customers at all times.
Qualifications:
Candidates should have a minimum qualification of Level 4 in Electrical or electro-mechanical fields.
Other Requirements:
31. Full UK driving license with no more than 3 penalty points.
