Community Infrastructure Levy Officer This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and to play a key role as part of Cheshire East Council’s ambition to sustain and improve the CIL and S106 monitoring functions. We are looking for someone to join our team to play a key role in the collection and processing of CIL income and S106 financial and non-financial obligations. You will be involved in the creation of reports and assisting in the process of allocating CIL and S106 monies, and monitoring spend. This is a role which will make a positive contribution to the sustainability, regeneration, health, and well-being of the Borough which collects significant sums each year through the Development Management process to contribute to a wide range of infrastructure projects. You will also be working with project managers across different departments of the Council to monitor the progress of projects funded by CIL and/or S106. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective implementation, monitoring and collection of the Council’s CIL, including, but not limited to: determining CIL charges; issuing Notices; enforcement and appeals; keeping accurate records; preparing statutory statistical returns and projections; and providing general advice and support on CIL enquiries to colleagues, elected Members, parish and town councils, developers, agents, solicitors and from the public.
