Class 2 HGV Driver based in our Cheltenham Depot
Are you a dependable and motivated Class 2 HGV Driver looking for a role in a trusted family business? Cotteswold Dairy is looking to expand its Haulage team at the busy Cheltenham Depot. With a clean UK driving licence (Category C or above), a passion for growth, and a readiness for night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays, this could be the perfect role for you!
Summary
Working Shifts: Sunday PM - Saturday AM on Night Shifts
Hours: 48 hours, five shifts per week
Start Times: Most rounds commence between (Apply online only)
As a Class 2 Driver, you’ll be at the forefront of Cotteswold Dairy’s commitment to quality and customer service. This role involves intensive multi-drop rounds, delivering dairy and related products to retail customers on time and with accuracy. You’ll have the chance to work independently, tackle road challenges, and provide friendly, efficient service to customers. We welcome both experienced drivers and newly qualified applicants who are eager to develop.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely drive HGV vehicles in accordance with your licence, maintaining courteous and efficient service.
Deliver dairy products on time, observing stock rotation and handling each delivery to the highest standards.
Work as a team player, prepared to cover for colleagues during holidays or absences and solving problems independently on the road.
Ensure all loads are secured, handle vehicles safely, and report any issues with equipment or vehicles promptly.Training and Development
At Cotteswold Dairy, we’re committed to supporting your growth. Our Learning & Development Coordinator and Internal Trainer provide tailored training, from HGV and NVQ programs to Forklift and Pallet Truck courses, to help you advance in your career.
Working Hours
Full-time: 48 hours per week (rostered average) with night shifts and early mornings.
Start times typically between 2300 and 0200.
“Job + finish” structure, within a rotating seven-day schedule.This role is physically active, requiring manual handling and adaptability to night shifts.
What We're Looking For
A full UK driving licence (Category C or above) and driver CPC card.
A positive, customer-focused attitude with a keen eye for detail.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights and bank holidays.
Strong time management skills, readiness for early starts, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
