Engineering Administrator

£25,000 - 30,000 per annum
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly organised and proficient Engineering Administrator to support our client’s production and procurement processes. The ideal candidate will have a background from engineering or manufacturing, with the ability to review bills of materials (BOMs).and creating technical instructions for production, as well as supporting the procurement process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Technical Administration:
o Interpret drawings and bills of materials (BOMs) to produce clear, accurate production instructions.
o Develop and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes.
o Update records with changes and ensure all documents are current.
* Production Support:
o Work closely with engineering teams to ensure the smooth transfer of technical information to production teams.
o Provide assistance to ensure correct implementation of instructions and specifications.
* Procurement & Buying:
o Support the Sourcing and purchase of components required for production.
o Manage supplier relationships and track the timely delivery of materials.
o Work with finance to ensure that procurement activities meet budget.
* Administrative Support:
o Maintain and update technical databases and documentation.
o Track project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure smooth operations.
o Prepare reports and data analysis for management when required.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
* Previous experience as a Administrator, in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOMs).
* Excellent administrative skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
