The College is looking to appoint an IT Technician to provide 1st line support and advice to users of the college computer systems and be the first point of contact for people needing help from the IT & Digital team, working with others in the team to resolve issues.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant college and thriving IT & Digital Team at a key point of innovation. As 1st line support, the IT Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the college's IT systems. You will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, helping maintain and develop IT infrastructure, and assisting technologies that enhance teaching, learning, and everyday college operations. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment, contribute to the college's ever-changing digital capabilities, and support the ongoing improvement of IT services that benefit the entire college community.
Job Details
* Start date: as soon as possible
* Permanent, Full-time, Full year
* Monday to Friday
* Salary: £25,479 - £27,979 including fringe allowance and depending on experience
Qualifications
The successful IT Technician will need to have a passion for working in the IT industry in a front-facing role with teachers, students, parents, and other stakeholders. They should be enthusiastic, dynamic, have excellent interpersonal skills, and a willingness to learn about our college systems. A working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office is highly desirable.
