Business Development Manager / Business Development Executive / Sales Engineer required to join an engineering distributor based in Andover, Hampshire. The role will primarily focus on developing new business and increasing sales across the UK in various industries such as Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing, and more. This position is office-based in Andover with extensive travel required around the UK to meet clients. You will strategically plan which companies to target and build and develop relationships with those accounts. This role would suit someone in internal sales looking to progress into an external sales position or someone with limited experience in external sales seeking advancement.
Package: £40,000 Base Salary, £60,000 OTE Commission, Pension Scheme, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, Progression Opportunities.
Responsibilities:
* Identify and develop new business opportunities across the UK, nurture client relationships, and manage your sales pipeline through a CRM system.
* Develop your client base across a range of industries such as Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing, and more.
* Strategically plan targeted companies and build relationships via phone, email, Teams, and face-to-face meetings.
* Work towards KPI’s.
* Support the sales lifecycle from lead generation to closure.
* Report to the Sales & Marketing Director.
* Provide monthly reports on your sales activity.
* Office-based role in Andover, Hampshire with external travel to clients across the UK.
Requirements:
* Prior experience in a sales role such as Business Development Manager, Business Development Executive, Sales Engineer, Internal Sales Engineer, Sales Manager, Sales Executive, or other relevant position in engineering.
* Prior experience selling engineering products is advantageous but not mandatory.
* Live within commutable distance to the office based in Andover, Hampshire.
* This role would suit someone in internal sales looking to progress into external sales.
