Are you a finance professional with a hands on personality and experience implementing an ERP system? This could be the perfect opportunity for you. I am working with an established manufacturer looking to take on a Financial Controller. This position will see you developing and implementing new business systems as well as managing the day to day finances of the business. Roles and Responsibilities:
9. Challenge and replace established processes and procedures where necessary & preparing the business for the implementation of an ERP system.
10. Ensure KPI requirements are captured and reported as needed to manage performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
11. Dig behind the numbers to understand key trends and be able to present findings.
12. Setting up and implementing a stock control system.
13. Leading all margin improvement projects and Initiatives across the organisation.
14. Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts & other required information in accordance with Group Reporting Manual.
15. Investigation & explanation of account variances to Budget & expectations.
16. Supervise and manage the Finance Team to carry out their tasks effectively & efficiently.
17. Balance Sheet Reconciliations performed monthly with reconciling items fully investigated.
18. Manage cash flow daily with formal 13-week forecasting on a regular basis.
19. Establish and implement financial reporting processes to ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported on a timely basis.
20. Preparation of Annual Budgets in conjunction with Managing Director.
Requirements
21. Proficient at change management.
22. Successfully implementing an ERP system across a business.
23. Qualified accountant (e.g. ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
24. Several years of experience in a business environment
25. Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate with all levels of the business, from shop floor to Director level;
26. Strong analytical and logic problem solving skills.
27. Excellent Excel skills and the ability to manipulate significant amounts of data. Power BI experience would be desirable.
28. Experience of managing others and working as part of a team
29. Self-motivation and commitment as well as enthusiasm in supporting new processes and change.
