Job Title : Locum Occupational Therapist - Adult Social Care (City of London) Employment Type : Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm Salary : Negotiable Pay Rates : £25.23 per hour (PAYE basic) | £29.28 per hour (PAYE premium) | £33.41 per hour (Umbrella) Hybrid Working : 3 days in the office, 2 days remote About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Adult Social Care team in the City of London. This role offers a great mix of office-based and remote work, giving you the flexibility to manage your own caseload while collaborating with a supportive team. What You'll Do: Manage a Diverse Caseload: Conduct home assessments, provide recommendations, order and review equipment, and oversee minor and major adaptations such as wet rooms, stairlifts, and ramps. Manual Handling & Specialist Seating: Perform manual handling assessments, reviews, and specialist seating evaluations. Reablement Assessments: Support clients with reablement plans, recommend changes to care packages, and provide training to carers. Major Adaptations: Prepare detailed specifications and diagrams for major adaptations. Equipment & Duty Support: Assist with equipment ordering for discharge and coordinate timely deliveries. Client Welfare: Maintain regular contact with clients through home visits and phone calls to ensure their well-being. Collaboration: Work closely with NRS, IIT, ACRT, CMHT, and community rehab teams to ensure cohesive client care. Telecare & Housing Assessments: Complete Telecare assessments and housing assessments to enhance client safety and independence. Attend Meetings: Participate in two monthly meetings—one focused on business and the other on professional development. Out-of-Borough Visits: Travel outside the City of London as required for client needs. What We're Looking For: Qualifications: Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration. Experience: Proven experience in Adult Social Care with a focus on community-based assessments and equipment provision. Skills: Strong communication, organization, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with Mosaic and Microsoft Office is preferred. Flexibility: Comfortable balancing office work with remote responsibilities, and able to travel for out-of-borough visits as needed.
