Support Worker – Allerton Care & Support

We are looking for female Support Workers to support individuals who cannot be supported by male staff. You will need to be enthusiastic, driven, and looking to make a difference for the person that you will be supporting. This role is shift based and we are looking for someone flexible to work a mixture of weekdays, bank holidays, and weekends.
Duties will include:
1. Supporting with shopping, correspondence, meal preparation, and household chores.
2. Prompting daily personal care, whilst maintaining privacy, dignity, and respect.
3. Supporting with planning and attending leisure or educational activities. This can range from day centres, College, gardening clubs, bingo, discos, meals out, bowling, holidays, and day trips such as zoos or sporting events.
4. Administering medication and arranging medical appointments as required.
5. Encouraging and supporting individuals to maintain friendships and family links.
6. Using our note-taking system to provide handover staff with important information.
Essential skills:
1. Willing to have an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. This will be funded by Allerton.
2. Our support workers must have a willingness to learn and undertake all mandatory training.
3. Good communication skills essential and able to work under own initiative.
