Reception Teacher. Job in Birmingham Education & Training Jobs
Prospero Teaching is recruiting on behalf of a Primary School in Shard End, Birmingham. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Reception Class Teacher. This is a full-time, long-term role starting as soon as possible. As the Reception Class Teacher, you will have the opportunity to create an engaging and nurturing environment that encourages the academic, social, and emotional development of young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver exciting, engaging lessons based on the EYFS curriculum.
2. Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive learning experiences.
3. Foster the personal, social, and academic development of all children in your care.
4. Monitor and assess children's progress, adapting teaching approaches to suit individual needs.
5. Work in close partnership with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure each child's needs are met.
6. Contribute to the school's ethos and participate in school-wide activities and events.

Location: Shard End, Birmingham
Position: Reception Teacher
Type of work: Class Teacher - planning, preparation, marking, parents evenings etc

Minimum rate of pay: Minimum rate GBP130 per day
Hours: 8:30 am - 4pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)
Experience, Training and Qualifications
1. QTS or equivalent
2. Minimum 1 year Key Stage 1 teaching experience in the UK
3. Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
