Job Description Summary:
The Business & Commercial Banking (BCB) Chief Operating Office has a purpose of making it easier, faster, safer, and more convenient for our customers to do business. We’re achieving this through our strategy to Digitise, Diversify and Transform our customer offering, supporting customers with a turnover of up to £100 million. Within this division, the Strategic Delivery team plays a crucial role in this journey with a purpose to Champion the Strategy and Connect Delivery.
You’ll be someone who exhibits proactive behaviour, excels in collaboration, and possesses an inherent curiosity to think creatively and question the status quo. You’ll bring people together to achieve the best outcomes for customers, colleagues, and shareholders.
What you’ll be doing:
A role in Strategic Delivery provides phenomenal exposure to the full BCB business, putting you in a prominent role to influence and support the delivery of the strategy. The role is fast-paced, with regular interactions with senior executives. We use our relationships and the collective team effort to allow us to continually deliver and go above and beyond.
Our work is focused around three key activities:
* Prioritising – ensuring we’re spending our investment on the right areas to deliver against our strategy
* Solving – unblocking issues and spotting opportunities to deliver greater value
* Storytelling – presenting accurately how we’re delivering against the strategy which can advise decision making
What you’ll need:
* Experience operating at Director level within Financial Services, ideally within Business and Commercial Banking.
* Strategy and operating model experience within Financial Services, with the ability to see the bigger picture, connecting the dots across a wide range of inputs to produce a coherent and succinct story.
* Experience of effective engagement and influencing senior executives, anticipating, clarifying, and crafting requirements to build good customer outcomes, whilst improving the impact of our strategic investment.
* Thought leadership to help evolve our customer offering to meet their ever-changing needs.
* Experience of Digital transformation within an Agile environment.
About working for us:
Our focus is to ensure we're inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms. We want our people to feel that they belong and can be their best, regardless of background, identity, or culture. We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer initiative. And it’s why we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups. We’re disability confident. So, if you’d like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.
We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:
* A generous pension contribution of up to 15%
* An annual performance-related bonus
* Share schemes including free shares.
* Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping.
* 30 days’ holiday, with bank holidays on top
* A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies
