You will be working between Monday and Friday within the hours of 8am and 4pm. This allows you EVERY weekend off! We have an exciting new opportunity for the right person to run our kitchen, working and supporting people in recovery from mental ill health and adhering to Turning Point Scotland’s Ethos and Values – Because People Matter.
As a Cook, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives e.g. keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and well-being.
You will manage the day to day running of the kitchen, taking control of food ordering, health and safety regulations and food standards legislation, whilst keeping a close eye on finances and budgeting.
You will teach and support our service users to return to mainstream employment after a period of ill health, boosting confidence and self-esteem while learning new on-the-job skills, and encouraging them to achieve their own personal goals.
