Job Title: Infrastructure Support Engineer (Shift Role)
As an Engineer in our 24/7 team, you will play a pivotal role in providing advanced, out-of-hours technical expertise on Solaris/AIX Servers to maintain a high level of support service. You will contribute to the professional growth of team members and optimize processes for improved efficiency and customer satisfaction. Our engineers are responsible for troubleshooting, monitoring, and enhancing solutions, with a focus on customer experience, working collaboratively to maintain SLAs and KPIs. This position is based at our Erskine campus.
This role offers shift allowances due to the nature of the shifts and provides flexibility to cover various hours.
Eligibility: Suitable candidates must be eligible for SC clearance and possibly DV clearance in the future. Candidates should also be within reasonable travel distance to the Erskine campus.
Responsibilities:
1. Deliver exceptional customer service and serve as a focal point outside of regular hours, covering emergency support 24/7.
2. Support disaster recovery tests across multiple virtual platforms.
3. Remediate security vulnerabilities identified by our compliance team.
4. Perform scheduled change work outside of normal hours.
5. Assist with setup, configuration, and support of Linux and Windows servers.
6. Innovate and contribute to the development of new and improved products.
7. Develop expertise in the technologies used within the organization.
Essential Job Functions:
* Provide technical support for infrastructure services, respond to issues, and assist with tasks.
* Contribute to infrastructure projects and assignments.
* Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure systems to ensure reliability and performance.
* Collaborate with the team to improve infrastructure effectiveness and resolve technical challenges.
* Maintain infrastructure documentation, incident logs, and configuration records.
* Apply technical knowledge to resolve infrastructure-related issues.
* Follow best practices and standards in service delivery.
* Utilize technical skills to address incidents and problems.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
* Typically 4+ years of industry experience, with at least 1+ years in a similar role.
* Proven experience in infrastructure technology analysis.
* Skills in data analysis and technical expertise.
* Commitment to continuous learning and industry awareness.
Additional Qualifications:
An advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus.
