An exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst is available within our Global Combat Air Programme IT team.
In all areas these roles involve working with a range of key business stakeholders to support the delivery of key programme milestones thus enabling the delivery of our Defence Combat strategy for the next 50 years.

What you will be doing:
You will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders internally and externally to provide IT and digital expertise across a wide range of topics. This will help guide the development of solutions that enable engineers within the programme to work as required. This will include the following:
1. Supporting understanding and development of requirements and solutions to resolve business problems.
2. Engaging and supporting national and international discussions on the implementation of technical solutions, including engineering collaboration (PLM), software development, collaboration and data exchange.
3. Provide guidance on process, methods and technology to the wider team.
4. Supporting compliance and governance across GCAP governance boards and providing input to Defence IT/Central IT governance to ensure that the desired business outcomes and benefits to Defence are delivered

Further to our behaviours and values, ideally you would have:
5. Knowledge of IT and Digital solutions in the defence industry
6. Demonstrable knowledge and experience of IT delivery processes and architectures
7. TOGAF qualification or relevant experience in domains such as systems requirements development, solution design and IT project delivery
8. Ability to develop strategy and roadmaps based on programme timescales and capability requirements
9. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with senior business stakeholders and bring technical concepts and roadmaps to life
10. Experience of working internationally or with a broad range of external stakeholders
The role is Bristol based, but travel both in the UK and overseas may also be required on an occasional basis.
To work for the Rolls-Royce Defence Business there may be a requirement for an individual to hold a level of National Security Vetting (NSV). If the requirement is identified Rolls-Royce will support the application for NSV if the individual does not currently already have this in place.
