The post holder will provide leadership and direction for the TAS Quality Systems team, and to the wider factory of product safety issues while working closely with the wider Quality team to drive improvement in our quality system, maintain regulatory approval, and with the implementation of a safety management system in the 21g and 145 organisations. Responsibilities Ensure that the quality function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice Quality - vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve new product introduction and operational performance Develop and lead execution of TAS quality systems strategy to maintain regulatory approval and drive improvements in our quality system to support our growing and developing business. A key focus of this role will be to fully implement and develop the safety management system in the TAS organisation. As Safety Manager for the organisation you will be positioned within the quality function, however will have a direct line access to the CEO. Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements Set department objectives/KPIs for regular reporting and corrective action where necessary Review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports Lead and direct team activities focusing on Any system updates due to regulatory changes or recurring themes within the business Internal audit programme to fulfil regulatory requirements, and use the audit programme to drive continuous improvement in the organisation Implement and develop a world class safety management system to support our 145 and 21g organisations Management of external audits and approvals and liaison with our regulators to ensure our systems remain current and subject to continuous improvement. Promote and be a part of problem solving and continuous improvement activity within the function and wider business Encourage excellence in compliance, customer service, safety, quality and productivity. Drive team and process continuous improvement through Lean.
