Requirements
1. Carry out typical maintenance-based duties within retail/commercial environments.
2. Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.
3. Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.
4. Install appliances and equipment.
5. Conduct maintenance tasks such as painting and replacing light bulbs.
6. Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g., ventilation).
7. Check functionality of safety systems (e.g., fire alarm).
8. Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations.
9. Report to a facilities or maintenance manager for issues.
10. Perform adhoc duties such as cleaning activities, upkeep of working areas.
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Labourer to perform upkeep tasks. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensuring facilities are tidy and functional. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must also possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.
Person Specification
1. Proven experience as a maintenance labourer or other similar position.
2. Experience using hand and electrical tools.
3. Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
4. Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Physical stamina and dexterity.
Essential
The successful candidate must possess a full UK driving licence. Be available to stay away from home on a weekly basis, due to the wide geographical area covered; transport and accommodation will be provided.
