Mac Recruit Group are delighted to represent our client, an Ayrshire based Wind Turbine specialist who undertake work all over the UK. Their full service for clients includes blade repair, installation of wind turbines, blade inspection and much more. A HSEQ Assistant is required to join the team to work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and site workers, to uphold best practices in safety, quality, and environmental management. Duties & responsibilities: Assist in conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections at renewable energy sites (e.g., wind farms, solar installations, hydropower plants). Monitor and report on the implementation of health and safety measures. Support incident investigations, document findings, and recommend corrective actions. Help in organizing safety training sessions and workshops for employees and contractors. Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations and standards related to HSEQ. Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Maintain and update HSEQ databases, records, and logs. Act as a liaison between on-site teams, management, and external auditors. Promote a culture of safety, quality, and environmental awareness. Provide administrative support for HSEQ initiatives and meetings. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Certification in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) is an advantage. Experience in a similar background (solar, wind, hydropower, oil and gas etc.).
