Multi Skilled Fabric Engineer – Facilities Management

What you will be doing:
An opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Fabric Engineer to join the team at Galliford Try within our Facilities Management Business. You will be required to undertake planned maintenance of plant and associated equipment, including mechanical, electrical & building fabric repairs as directed by the GTFM Management, working as part of a team covering the Royal Edinburgh Hospital.
Responsibilities:
* Monitoring of Planned Preventative Maintenance, ensuring statutory compliance at all times
* Ensuring reactive, PPM tasks are completed on time
* Support GTFM Management with additional works for the client, building repairs and lifecycle maintenance
* Carry out planned, reactive and additional works in clients’ buildings, including minor works repairs, fault finding and fault diagnosis
* Attend any tasks issued for which the post holder has the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake
* Liaise with other GTFM staff and Sub-contractors as necessary to ensure the timely completion of works within agreed operational targets
* Carry out and complete all works to high quality standards and in a competent manner in accordance with Galliford Try Health and Safety Standards, Clients Policies and Procedures
* Complete accurately all works allocated via a portable electronic device and update all tasks in a timely manner
* Working hours will be based Monday to Friday and will include participation in an on-call rota covering one weekend in four, including occasional holiday cover and sickness cover
* Attend Tool-Box-Talks, training and meetings as required by GTFM management
* Act at all times in accordance with the Galliford Try rules, policies, procedures and financial regulations
About you:
* Preferably a Joiner by Trade
* Demonstrate strong fabric awareness
* Working as part of an FM team in healthcare experience would be advantageous
* Experience within a facilities management/Hospital environment
* The successful applicant must clear a PVG Disclosure check
* Time served apprenticeship would be essential
