As the sole HR Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting both employees and managers across a broad range of HR functions. This role will be covering a multi-site and circa of 150 employees, covering performance management to supporting policy development and staff wellbeing. This is a hands-on, stand-alone role where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert advice and support on employee relations issues, including disciplinaries, grievances, and absence management.
* Support managers with performance management and coaching conversations.
* Assist with policy development and implementation.
* Contribute to HR projects focused on employee engagement, wellbeing, and organisational development.
* Maintain up-to-date HR records and ensure compliance with employment law and internal policies.
* Collaborate with leaders to develop clear, consistent, and engaging job descriptions that support recruitment and internal progression.
* Act as a trusted advisor to line managers, coaching them through people processes and building their confidence in handling day-to-day HR matters.
* Identify development needs and support the design and delivery of learning initiatives that drive personal growth and team capability.
What We're Looking For:
* A wealth of experience in generalist HR.
* Educated to degree level in Human Resources Business Administration and/or a formal HR certification.
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
* Passionate about supporting people to grow and managers to lead effectively.
* Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
* Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
