An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dermatology Surgical Practitioner to join our dynamic specialist nursing team at Goal Street Skin Centre in Herefordshire.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will ideally work 37.5h/week as part of the multidisciplinary team with the aim of:
* Providing support and guidance to inpatient and outpatient services in order to ensure high quality care and best practice and develop clear pathways for complex surgical patients alongside the dermatology and plastics lead clinicians.
* Developing strategies and policies for local service development.
* Maintaining a complex clinical case load including pre and post-operative patients and complex wound management.
* Providing professional and managerial leadership to the surgical CNS/Nursing team.
* Determining the effective use of resources implementing new initiatives where possible.
* Nurturing collaboration and shared decision making.

Education & Qualifications
Essential
* Registered nurse NMC Registration.
* Masters level qualification in relevant specialism or relevant equivalent experience.
* Leadership or management development qualification or evidence of equivalent experience.
Desirable
* Surgical skills course or willing to work towards it within first 6 months.
Experience

* Demonstrate the ability to deliver clinical skills in practice.
* Experience of working in an MDT and across organisational and professional boundaries.
Desirable
* Extensive experience to demonstrate understanding of the impact of cancer treatment and skin surgery.
