Control and Instrument Technician for a Chemical site in the Grimsby area. This role will be hands-on, suitable for someone who wants to step up into a more senior role, as well as someone who may be looking to slow down and bring calm and experience. Below are the standard requirements:
1. Education: HND or HNC in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years within chemical manufacturing, ideally at a COMAH site.
3. Skills: Experience of plant control systems, ideally awareness of IEC61511.
4. Knowledge: Knowledge and experience of ATE.
5. Responsibilities:Responsible for providing support for all day-to-day operations and development projects around the Site instrumentation and control systems.
Purpose of the Job:
Provide Control, software development, and Instrumentation support to the Control Systems Engineer for the site's continuous improvement strategy and ongoing projects.
Main Accountabilities:
1. Ensure compliance with all site Safety, Health & Environment procedures within the area of responsibility.
2. Responsible for site control system projects including front-end design, programming, commissioning and handover to operations.
3. Manage external project C & I resources ensuring relevant competency and that all necessary documentation is completed.
4. Day-to-day troubleshooting of issues related to Instrumentation and control systems.
5. Deputy for Control Systems Engineer.
6. Continual communication link between C&I and Production Personnel on all C&I aspects.
7. Site support out of hours for issues related to Instrumentation and control systems.
