Reporting to the Head of Internal Control, Compliance & Legal Relay, the Senior Data Oversight Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and punctuality of all data oversight processes. The role involves evaluating existing data reporting frameworks and collaborating with the Business Intelligence team to develop new tools and methodologies to enhance data monitoring capabilities. This position ensures operational risks and compliance issues are effectively identified and mitigated, driving consistently positive outcomes for customers.
The Senior Data Oversight Analyst will work closely with oversight teams and act as a key point of contact for data integrity within the organisation. The role will also support the Compliance & Operational Risk Committee by preparing detailed reports, taking minutes, and tracking action points to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Data Oversight and Reporting
* Ensure all data oversight processes are conducted accurately and on time, adhering to internal and external requirements.
* Utilise existing tools and develop new data reporting frameworks to monitor customer outcomes and operational risks.
* Conduct detailed analyses of data trends to identify compliance risks and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of:
* Relevant regulatory requirements,
* Industry best practices,
* Internal processes and procedures.
Framework Oversight
* Ensure the organisation’s data oversight framework is robust and consistently applied across first and second-line teams.
* Provide documented insights and recommendations to the Head of Internal Control, Compliance & Legal Relay (HoICCLR) regarding data oversight performance.
* Collaborate with departments to ensure data integrity and resolve any identified discrepancies or issues.
* Support the Compliance & Operational Risk Committee by preparing monthly data oversight reports, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
Stakeholder Collaboration
* Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring Senior Management Team (SMT) members are informed of data oversight findings and relevant escalations.
* Partner with Business Intelligence teams to design and implement data tools that enhance organisational reporting and decision-making capabilities.
Operating Hours
* 35 hours per week, with flexibility as needed to cover organisational requirements.
* Standard working schedule: Monday to Friday.
Required Knowledge and Experience
* Educated to Higher / A-Level standard, with a focus on analytical or technical subjects preferred.
* Proven experience in data analysis, quality assurance, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including GDPR and industry-specific compliance frameworks.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience in data visualisation tools being advantageous.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely.
