Job summary We are recruiting a B8a Deputy Head of Podiatry on a fixed term 18mth contract. This is an exciting opportunity to support the podiatry senior leadership team to deliver community podiatry and diabetic foot services throughout North Cumbria. The successful candidate will work alongside an established leadership team which consists of Head and Deputy Head of Podiatry, Community Team Leads and Diabetic Foot Service. Main duties of the job Deputise for Head of Podiatry as required. To ensure the effective delivery of evidence based high quality podiatry services in line with the Trusts and Integrated Care System (ICS) aims and vision. To provide a high standard of podiatry to a highly complex and unpredictable patient group accessing services in the Network. To provide operational line management and professional leadership of Podiatry staff working into the area, some of which are based on other sites of the IHCS from the post holder. To be an active member of the appropriate MDTs. To be responsible for own continued professional development and facilitate a learning culture which includes audit and research to ensure high standards of care within the speciality teams. To be a member of the AHP senior management team, working with the Head of Podiatry on operational and service development issues, with specific responsibility for own area of speciality. Provide professional advice and support to the Community Managers with operational responsibilities within the ICCs. To be responsible for clinical governance within the Podiatry staff group.
