What is the opportunity?
Junior trader role on the Repack and CLN Trading Desk (part of GE Structured Products). As a Repack Trader, you will play a key role in developing, pricing and executing repackaging and structured credit transactions, including Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), Credit-Linked Notes (CLNs), and other bespoke cross-asset derivatives and financial instruments. You will work closely with senior traders, structurers, and clients to develop tailored solutions that meet specific investment needs.
What will you do?
* Trade Execution: Price and execute repackaging transactions efficiently, ensuring alignment with client objectives, market conditions and RBC’s risk appetite.
* Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify opportunities and risks associated with repackaging transactions.
* Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage the performance of existing repackaging deals, making adjustments as necessary to optimize returns and manage risks within our risk framework.
* Product Development: Assist in the structuring and documentation of SPVs, CLNs, and other structured products, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines.
* Workflow Development: Work with Business Management and Technology teams to optimize the workflow of the business.
* Client Interaction: Support client interactions, including pitching new ideas, responding to inquiries, and providing detailed product information.
* Collaboration: Work integrally with internal teams, including Finance, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Risk Management, to ensure seamless execution of transactions and ongoing monitoring and approval of PnL and balance sheet usage.
* Documentation: Work with Legal and Structuring to prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for all transactions, including term sheets, offering memoranda, and legal contracts.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all transactions comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Must-have
* Strong analytical background.
* Strong grasp of financial markets.
* Commercial understanding and mindset.
* Existing understanding of the trading processes.
* Strong knowledge of MS Office, with advanced-level Excel skills.
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
* Good communication skills are essential at various levels of seniority when dealing with internal and external customers, as well as other business units.
