Technical Developers (Health, Safety and Environment) - UK
Home-based role with occasional travel to head office and industry events.
Target salary: £46,000 per annum
CITB is looking for two technical developers with construction industry health and safety experience, especially in environment, sustainability, temporary works, and tunnelling.

About CITB
The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) supports skills development in the UK construction sector, aiming for a diverse, competent workforce. We develop key products like SSP courses, examinations, and publications.
The role
As a subject matter expert, you will develop, review, and maintain HS&E content, ensuring accuracy and relevance, and translating technical info into accessible educational materials. Collaboration with project teams and stakeholders is essential.
Key activities
* Develop and maintain HS&E content for courses and publications.
* Translate technical info into clear, accessible language.
* Manage work packages, meet deadlines, and make decisions.
* Stay updated on legislation and industry developments.
* Participate in meetings and represent CITB’s HS&E interests.
* Engage in continuous professional development.
About you
* Extensive HS&E knowledge and construction site experience.
* Specialist experience in areas like environment, temporary works, or tunnelling.
* Minimum NEBOSH Health & Safety Management for Construction or NEBOSH Environmental Certificate.
* Membership in IOSH, IEMA, or similar organizations is desirable.
* Educational qualifications such as a Certificate or Postgraduate Certificate in Education are advantageous.
* Strong organization, writing, and presentation skills.
* Ability to adapt technical info for various audiences.
* Commitment to ongoing learning and industry knowledge.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Self-motivated to work independently from home.
