We are looking for an Administration Apprentice to join Wessex Fire & Security to bolster the next generation of talent for our thriving business. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-known business whilst studying for a recognised level 2 qualification. The role will be based at our Head Office in Shaftesbury, Dorset and you will have the opportunity throughout your Apprenticeship to spend time in several areas of the business.
Working week:
37.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5pm each day
1 hour for lunch
Expected duration of apprenticeship:
Minimum 1 year
Apprenticeship:
Business Administration Level 2
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Provide administration support to the team as required.
* Assist in covering for other duties and team members when required in all areas of the business and relevant departments.
* Carry out such duties of a similar level of responsibility as may from time to time be reasonably required.
* Answer the department telephones and take messages when necessary for other members of staff.
* Assist with monthly duties including invoicing, sales, customer service, reports, diary management, raising and closing jobs, and assisting with general duties; all training will be given.

Essential Competencies:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Grades 4/C in English and Math’s at GCSE.
* Confident with Microsoft Word and Excel.
* High level of accuracy.
* Good problem-solving skills.
* Customer focused.
* Ability to work well in a team.
Desirable:
* Excellent ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively to meet targets and deadlines.
* Good attention to detail.
* Ability to work well under pressure.
