Success Recruit are currently working with a locally based Insurance MGA, looking to recruit an Underwriting Operations Analyst. Ideally, the candidate will be strategically minded and have strong analytical and communication skills with experience in the Insurance sector to effectively support the underwriting process alongside the wider technical operations of the business. An excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being data-driven, enjoys and is able to take the lead in MI reporting, working closely with the MD and senior team members, professionally collaborating and communicating with stakeholders, underwriting teams, and both external and internal partnerships.

The successful Underwriting Operations Analyst will be expected to:

Job Description:
To effectively oversee, manage and oversee the end-to-end bordereaux validation, payment, and mapping process for the business. Providing and reporting on MI to influence business decisions towards achieving operational excellence through innovation and improvements. Focused on building positive relationships supporting a high-quality professional service to the underwriting team, senior management, and stakeholders. Working within the regulations and compliance, whilst able to assess and approach trends within the business working towards continued growth and development with a combined facility for high-risk trades, covering Contracting, Recycling, Rope Access, Manufacturing, Haulage, and Cleaning occupations.
Duties to include but not limited to:
1. Effectively support the underwriting process and wider technical operation by analysing data, providing MI reports to influence business decisions, continuous innovation, and growth to senior management.
2. Consistently seek to improve processes and MI using specific technical skills to support and deliver high quality, professional service to the underwriting team, senior management, and wider business including suppliers and key stakeholders.
3. Manage, improve and maintain relationships with underwriting platform providers, implementing and identifying further opportunities through effective project management.
4. Ensure compliance and regulations are met alongside providing excellent customer service standards.
5. Deliver operational excellence through innovation and improvements.
6. Delivering department KPI’s and SLA’s with a view not to only deliver but strive to exceed expectations ensuring in line with company policy and standards and values; Honesty, Ambition, and Delivery.
7. Collaboration with other departments whilst delivering accurate reports, monitoring performance and trends, enabling confident business decisions to be taken.
8. Manage, support and nurture the performance and developments of your direct reports providing excellent coaching and mentorship in conjunction with HR representatives.
9. Developing knowledge and understanding of the market alongside associated legal or technical changes.
10. Contribute towards and be aligned to agreed management strategies.
11. Have excellent IT knowledge including Microsoft Office 365 suite.
Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00 – 5.00 - hybrid flexibility with 3 days in the office.
Salary: Circa £50,000 - £60,000 DOE.
