Job Title: Service Coordinator (Semi Independent Accommodation)
Responsible to: Services Manager
Location: Crawley, West Sussex with travel as agreed
Salary Range: £26,000 - £30,500
Hours: Full time: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Out of Hours: The Service Coordinator is included on the Duty Team Rota and reimbursement for out of hours involvement.
Contract: 1 year with potential to extend

About the Role
Overall Purpose of the Service Coordinator Role:
To coordinate the Semi-Independent Accommodation Services for 16 – 24-year-olds: day to day management according to the service specification to provide safe placements, with effective engaging support to promote positive next steps progressions.
Role Responsibilities
Delivery:
* Coordinate completion of CYP journey from pre-move in to move out experience.
* Coordinate implementation of property H&S and maintenance schedules.
* Coordinate and monitor staff to ensure home safety and effective reporting.
* Ensure staff are fully informed of service specifications and receive routine supervision.
* Liaise with all relevant professionals to effectively support individual CYP.
* Oversee all CYP have progressive individual support plans.
* Coordinate enrichment and engagement activities programme for the service.
* Collate CYP feedback to inform service design and development.
Quality:
* Monitor the day-to-day delivery of the service to meet quality measurables.
* Maintain oversight of case work recording and home dynamics.
* Ensure effective staff teamwork to provide support and intervention.
* Engage in all planned and unplanned internal and external quality assurance monitoring.
* Promote opportunities for CYP to give feedback and codesign the service.
Development:
* Implement practices for continuous improvement and development of the service.
* Promote independence via information, advice and guidance.
* Create a culture of continuous improvement through practice and communication.
Finance:
* Implement financial policy ensuring all staff understand financial management.
* Participate in managing a housekeeping budget and ensure timely completion of financial documentation.
Person Specification
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
* At least 3 years experience in the social care sector.
* Experience of managing complex case loads independently.
* Experience of working with local authorities.
Desirable
* Level 3 qualification or equivalent in the relevant sector.
* Experience of overseeing service delivery and implementation.
Skills and Knowledge
Essential
* Fully literate in Microsoft Office.
* Knowledge of trauma-informed practices.
* Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
* Knowledge of safeguarding children and young people.
