We are currently looking for a Site Chemist to join us in Liverpool.
The role
• To organise Tradebe’s in-coming waste loads, acceptance and inspection in order to develop and maintain the highest possible standards.
• To organise Tradebe’s incoming waste routing, diversion and maximise efficiency in order to develop and maintain the highest possible standards.
• To provide a site technical assessment service to assist the Management team in effectively controlling the site’s strategic requirements for growth.
• To ensure full compliance with every aspect of the BMS procedure for the acceptance and recording of incoming wastes including recyclates.
• Work is predominantly based outdoors on the site, working in all elements.
You will be tasked with the following:
1. To support and control the site’s analytical testing and assessment requirements including all EA/UU technical issues.
2. To ensure acceptance and dispatch operations are in line with the company’s BMS, ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 systems.
3. To identify and report on opportunities and trends in the site’s technical control/analysis systems, so that the Company can effectively develop its continuous improvement programme.
4. To raise non-conformances on any incoming loads in line with BMS procedures immediately
5. To generate load/dispatch paper-work in line with company & legislative requirements.
6. To maintain effective record keeping and documentation, to include the running of the sites stock control system, production records and in-process records.
7. To co-operate fully with colleagues in order to support the Company's efforts in growth.
The person
Ideally you will have a mix of the following skills:
8. Educated to HNC standard
9. Good organisation and planning ability
10. IT skills Excel / Word / Outlook
11. Good people skills with the ability to build up relationships both internally and externally.
12. Effective listening skills along with excellent communication abilities are a necessity.

14. Hands on approach with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks to tight deadlines.

17. Ability to work on own initiative & lead others in completing tasks to deadline
18. Excellent communicator
19. Minimum 2 years experience in handling Hazardous Wastes
